Our topic for our first Summer Term is ‘Darwin’s Delights’ which focuses on exploring the Galapagos Islands, Darwin’s discoveries and understanding theories of inheritance and evolution.
As part of our geography unit we will be learning about the Galapagos Islands, identifying the impact that tourism has through eco-tourism and study Darwin’s impact from visiting this exciting place. Our geography relates to our science with inheritance and evolution as we further explore the theories from Darwin and his species of origin.
Our class story is ‘Darwin’s Dragons’ by Lindsay Galvin. This adventure-filled story further enables our children to be immersed in the history of the Galapagos Islands and the fascinating life of Charles Darwin.
